We had a really nice, relaxing, fun Christmas! I didn’t take too many pictures, so I borrowed a few from MOM J.
This is Novalie’s cousin, Kody, whom she absolutely ADORES!
I had to be Mary this year because Novalie had her heart set on being the sheep.
Waiting to go in and see if Santa came.
Still waiting…..on the boys!
I know it is officially Christmas vacation when the video games start being played ALL DAY LONG! Novalie is old enough now to enjoy playing video games and actually will stick with it and not get bored after 5 minutes.
Every Christmas we have a day that we spend making different variety of cookies all day long. Last year, we sadly didn’t do this tradition because I was so busy with work, so I am happy that we continued it this year. Yesterday was our cookie day and today we are all full of cookies. I finally just cleaned up the big mess, but it was worth the mess because we had a fun time.
We finally have gotten our first snow storm. It started on Friday late afternoon and Novalie just couldn’t wait until there was a decent amount of snow on the ground to go out and play. We went out and it was very wet snow, so we were able to make the first snowman of the season. Novalie had to give her snowman a bat to protect the house. Kevin went out with Novalie today and said they went all over Albion. He would pull her in the sled until they came to a new hill and then Novalie would take off down the hill going fast and loving it. What a sweet and fun daddy!
Novalie had her last basketball game Thursday. It was really fun to watch her play basketball this year. There were 3 boys and 1 other girl on her team and all 4 other children had made a basket during a game. During the last game Novalie shot a couple of shots and then she made a basket! Everyone in the stands cheered so loud for her. Her whole face beamed and she ran down the court and said to her teammates laughing, “Can you believe I made a basket!” It was so fantastic and she was so excited. I loved seeing the pure joy on her face of working so hard to finally score a basket during a game. I loved every moment of it. I am so proud of her.
